Schools Active Worldwide (SAWW) is a registered business, ABN 801 79011054. SAWW provides a range of services specific to education and community.

SAWW began as an advisory service to newly established schools in the Asian area where successful efforts were made to embed an English based program of study within a National curriculum. This hybrid dual curriculum the Australian International Schools Certificate ™ (AISC) is uniquely suited to nations wanting a well prepared and thoroughly well resourced English language curriculum, sitting inside a country's domestic credential. These services have grown and expanded and SAWW has diversified into a range of additional education fields, maintaining a global focus but incorporating both local and global services to the broad education community.

Dr William McKeith is the Managing Director of SAWW. Available to him is a wide range of highly qualified and experienced education professionals who assist with specific projects as required.

Dr McKeith has professional experience in a range of schools that include Knox Grammar School, Newington College and Chevalier College, Bowral. He spent four years in industrial relations and has studied and worked on development projects in a variety of developing Asian countries. Dr McKeith completed his MA from University of Sydney and an MBA and Doctorate from the University of Leicester, UK. He has held various awards and scholarships, is a Fellow and Life Member of the Australian College of Educators, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and was awarded in January 2008, membership of the Order of Australia (AM).

Dr McKeith was Principal of Presbyterian Ladies' College, Sydney for 25 years (January 1986 - December 2010). For the last five years he had the additional responsibility of Presbyterian Ladies' College, Armidale. He completed a twelve month leadership contract at Rissalah Islamic College, Lakemba for AIS(NSW) and the State Government and recently completed a 3.5 year appointment as Head of Inner Sydney Montessori School, one of Australia's largest Montessori Schools at Balmain/Lilyfield. He has served on many Committees and Boards with the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia, the Association of Heads of Independent Girls' Schools and the Association of Independent Schools as well as on a range of church and community based Boards in Australia and Asia. He is an Adviser to a number of fairly recently established fee paying schools in Asia. Dr McKeith has a particular interest in the engagement with, and adjustment of educational communities to the acceptance of difference.

 

Chris Faisandier AM

Schools' Consultant

Chris served as Science teacher, Science Department Coordinator and Deputy Principal in schools in New Zealand over a thirty year period.

His leadership capacity is reflected in early career appointments as Principal of Schools in New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. On completion of fifteen years’ leadership of the independent Kincoppal-Rose Bay school in Sydney (www.krb.nsw.edu.au) he was invited to join the New Zealand consultancy Ahead Associates (www.aheadassociates.co.nz). His consultancy projects aligned his deep educational experience with a strong entrepreneurial capacity to a variety of planning projects from conception to completion. Projects undertaken in diverse international settings across the pre-school, school and tertiary sectors, and including non-for-profit arts organisations, had in common the need for leadership in significant start-up or change environments.

In recognition of his contribution to education in Australia he was awarded the Order of Australia (AM) in 2016.

Chris’ current international role is as Director of Educational Planning for the Al Wedyan new city development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
